Oil on canvas 55 cm x 38 cm signed lower left Steinlen for Aimé Daniel Steinlen who is a great nephew of Théophile Alexandre representing a countryside landscape. Sold with invoice-certificate. Perfect condition.Grand-nephew of Théophile Alexandre, he is a graduate of the Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His pictorial career is divided between exhibitions and teaching. He also creates for the art book. He notably illustrates War Pilot by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry at Gallimard. The particular light with which he bathes the landscapes of the North characterizes his works.
