Oil on canvas 61 cm x 46 cm sold with its gilded frame 75 cm x 60 cm signed lower right representing racehorses before the start (Recurring theme in the artist's work. Also countersigned on the back of the canvas and titled "before the race". Sold with invoice-certificate. Perfect condition. Serge Lassus was born in Hendaye on May 7, 1933. Brilliantly received at the Applied Arts School of Paris in the 1950s, he chose to illustrate the guestbook of the city of Paris. He now lives in Le Cannet. Having devoted his entire life to painting, he has exhibited throughout the world, notably in New York and Tokyo.
