He was a student of Alexandre Falguière, and Louis-Auguste Hiolin. In Paris, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1895. He obtained an honorable mention in 1896 and, subsequently, a third class medal in 1897, a second class medal in 1899 and an honorable mention in 1900 at the Universal Exhibition. He was awarded a first-class medal at the 1910 exhibition and participated in the Royal Scottish Academy Exhibition in 1912. His studio was located at 35, rue Alexandre-de-Humboldt in Paris from 1895 to 1905, then at 16, boulevard Saint-Jacques in 1907 and at 6, rue Dareau in 1912. He lived in Bourg-la-Reine and died on December 18, 1934.
