Jean Garnier (1853-1930), french sculptor, enameler and chaser from Mouzeuil-Saint-Martin, in Vendée. Self-taught, he mastered various materials such as marble, terracotta, bronze and pewter. He also created enamel jewelry. He had a notable career in Paris, regularly participating in the Salon from 1883 to 1905, before returning to his native region in 1910. His works include Art Nouveau sculptures and monuments. He died in poverty and neglect in 1930.
