Bronze idol representing a figure commonly called "Master of Animals": A central character controls two fantastic animals with his arms by the necks. Bronze, Iran, Luristan (Or Lorestan), Iron Age, circa 800 BC. The piece is accompanied by its acrylic base, it is removable. H 12.5 cm x W 4 cm. Weight: 66 grams. A comparable example is represented in the British Museum under inventory number 108816. Provenance: Acquisition before 1970 from the collector Claude de Marteau. Sold with certificate of provenance.
