The Florentine workshops of the 19th century specialized in copying masterpieces present in the city's museums, masterfully framed in carved and gilded wooden cartridge frames. This one in particular depicts the self-portrait of Raffaello Sanzio, painted in the 16th century and preserved in the Uffizi.
