"Renaissance Marble Frame – 16th Century"
Magnificent marble frame dating from the 16th century, from an ancient European church. This type of frame was used for the interior decoration of religious buildings during the Renaissance period. It is distinguished by its classical architectural lines and its elegant, finely carved gilt bronze shield positioned at the top. A later intervention reinforced the structure with discreetly added metal rods at the back to guarantee the stability and preservation of the piece. Condition: Good overall condition, with a beautiful patina. Normal traces of time consistent with the age of the object.
