Armand Petersen (1891 -1969) Armand Petersen is considered one of the greatest French animal sculptors of his time, he worked and exhibited alongside Edouard-Marcel Sandoz and Pompon during the 1930s. His style is refined and synthetic, his animals are all volumes and perfectly chiseled. His works are present in several museum collections; a hippopotamus at the Musée d'Orsay, a bull at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Angers, a common crane at the Musée de la chasse in Gien and others.
