A ceramicist couple from La Borne.Born in Paris and a devoted admirer of the Bauhaus, Le Corbusier, and Perriand, Yves Mohy studied architecture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1950, he enrolled at the Ecole des métiers d’art, where he trained in ceramics and met his future wife, Monique Lacroix. The two students discovered La Borne in 1953. Captivated by the beauty and tranquility of the place—and above all fascinated by the material known as stoneware—they decided to settle there in 1955, just as Elisabeth Joulia had done in 1949 and the Lerat couple had done in 1941–1943.
