Rectangular carved wooden box, probably from Saint Lucia, standing on four small ball feet, engraved on all sides in low relief with foliate and floral motifs on matte backgrounds. A number of interlaced letters surmounted by a crown in a medallion adorns the lid. With its lock and key, in working order. France, 18th century, possibly Bagard in Nancy. Dimensions: height 7.5cm - width 25cm - depth 17cm. Good general condition, with a nice patina. Later silk lining showing some wear, large restored crack visible on the lid.
