Object description :

"19th Century Solid Silver Needle Stopper For Sewing Needles"
19th century silver affiquet. Two engraved shoes, hollow bottom to receive the points of the needle, chain in rings, final attachment to attach to the garment. Two lateral notches allow sewing laterally by acting as a stop. Engraved for the engagement of Louise according to tradition, March 18, 1854. Solid silver, tested but I did not find any hallmarks, probable origin Austria, particularly rare object for sale. Condition: superb engravings and without wear, the chain in good condition, the ring at the end has wear (see photo detail). The dimensions are indicated on the last photos.
