Pair Of Bayeux Porcelain And Gilt-bronze Lamps – Late 19th Century
A beautiful pair of Bayeux porcelain vases with a deep cobalt-blue ground, decorated with hand-painted courting scenes and polychrome floral bouquets within finely gilded reserves.
The vases feature rich, finely chased gilt-bronze mounts characteristic of the Napoleon III style. They have been converted into lamps and professionally rewired in compliance with current electrical standards.
The elegant pleated lampshades were custom-made in colours carefully selected to complement the porcelain decoration.
