Louis XIV mirror with inverted profile in marquetry of native woods: walnut, plum, maple. An alternating frieze of walnut and light wood frames the perimeter of the mirror. The decoration is composed of plant motifs, floral motifs, stylized acanthus leaves at the corners in a double frame. separated by a compound fillet. A blackened wooden molding attached to another small walnut molding surrounds the mercury glass. Very good condition. Probably Languedoc work from the second half of the 17th or early 18th century. Mirror 32 cm x 26 cm.
