Butterfly brooch in 18-carat gold, emeralds, rose-cut diamonds, rubies and sapphires, circa 1920 Antique butterfly-shaped brooch, made of 18-carat gold and silver, typical of jewelry productions from the first half of the 20th century. The openwork decoration of the wings is entirely enhanced with rose-cut diamonds, set in silver, in accordance with the traditional practices of the time, in order to accentuate its brilliance. The body of the insect is composed of five emeralds of graduated cuts, harmoniously distributed. The wings are punctuated with small rubies and small sapphires, providing discreet but elegant touches of color. The reverse has a double-pin fastening system with a safety latch, typical of antique settings. Very good condition. No chips or accidents to report. The main emerald is intact, with no visible splits or cracks.
