He studied at the art academy of the same city in 1933. He studied at the Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts and obtained his diploma in oil painting in 1938. He was then a member of a group of artists known in Japan as Khinjukai (Shinjuki).Japanese painter and printmaker, he remains one of the main representatives of abstract expressionism.In 1958, he was invited to exhibit at the prestigious exhibition of the School of Paris at the Galerie Charpentier, as well as the avant-garde exhibition Luminosité with great critical acclaim. Jun Dobashi continues to exhibit in numerous international group exhibitions. His works are held in many important collections in Europe and America. Jun Dobashi died in Tokyo in 1965.
