Pair of large Louis XV armchairs with flat backs, known as "à la Reine" in molded beech and beautifully carved with cartouches, acanthus leaves, and smallflowers on the apron and ogee-shaped backs.
The armrests rest on a console with curved molding and a simple scroll, revealing a charming shell motif at their ends.
The legs are vigorously arched and elegantly adorned with acanthus leaves. They are connected by fret work crossbars that follow the curved movements.
19th century petit point tapestry upholstery decorated with foliage and flowers.
The craftsmanship of these large armchairs allows us to compare them to 18th-century Lyon production.
