Mirror From The Early 19th Century, Empire.

Empire period mirror from the early 19th century in painted wood and gilded stucco.
Slab columns with Corinthian capitals and sheaves of wheat separated by wreaths frame the mirror's star-decorated frame. The central pediment features a mythological scene, depicting a vestal virgin before a fire making offerings to Cupid, who holds a bow and arrow.
The original mercury mirror is widely used.
