Children's Toy Stove.

The first toy stove models appeared from 1887 onwards from the Société du Familistère de Guise. These were real miniature cooking appliances that worked like domestic coal or wood stoves and were constructed in a similar way from multiple separately molded parts. Educational toys, they could be used in hardware stores or exhibitions as demonstration specimens of large stoves. The toy stove presented here was made by Odelin Fourneau in Paris in the early 20th century around 1910/20. It included two cooking holes on the top table, an oven, a steamer, a door to the hearth and a drawer ash pan. Made of cast iron, sheet metal and refractory clay interior. In good general condition, with signs of use. Height excluding chimney 40 cm, width 34 cm, depth 28 cm, weight 11 kg. On-site collection possible.
