Khmer Lime Pot, Cambodia, 12th Century

Khmer lime pot. Small, squat, globular pot in the shape of a bird covered with an olive-brown glaze, stopping short of the raised foot. It has several details: an owl's beak and protruding eyes in relief, a suggestion of feathers on the tail, incised concentric rings around the opening, and vertical lines on the body. The beak and tail have a small lack. Good general condition (see photos). Dimensions: 7,5 x 5,5 cm
Cambodia, 12th century.
Provenance: Collection from the South East of France, built up from the 1970s. Sold with certificate of authenticity, invoice on request. Guarantee of origin and period.
