Spoon Holder. 19th Century Folk Art.
The spoon holder, which to my knowledge is typically Breton, was found suspended above the tables in our countryside and was used to store, as its name suggests, spoons after eating. There are models that simply placed on the table, other models with a pulley system, you could lower them, serve yourself and after the meal put them back until the next time. The model presented is a model with a wrought iron hook with remarkable twist work. Total length 85 cm. In good general condition, with traces of use.
