"Telescope "a. Bardou In Paris", On Its Tripod And With Its Case."
It consists of a main tube, in brass (length 97.5; diameter 7.75cm) engraved on the front: "A. BARDOU PARIS". This is extended by another smaller tube (length 45.5; diameter 3.35cm) sliding in the large tube and equipped with an optical shutter. In its case (102.5x8.5; height 12.5) are stored another tube (length 88; diameter 3.35cm) and two other optics (length 4 and 5.2cm) fitting on the two tubes of diameter 3.35cm. Its tripod, in oak, is foldable and allows a height of the main tube ranging from 156 to 190cm. Two knurled nuts allow the fixing of this tube, thanks to a sliding support in the tripod. The BARDOU firm was founded in 1818 and our Model was designed between 1878 and 1895. Very good original condition.
