La dépêche du Midi – Having fallen into the crucible of bronze at his father's art foundry at the age of 16, Michel Ilhat drew from it his love of bronze, but also of sculpture. A tamer of fire and molten metal, he has been creating his own sculptures for over 20 years, from the modeling phase and the creation of shapes and volumes, to the casting of bronze or resin and then to the patina. His work, full of finesse, roundness and grace, showcases nature and its fauna.
