The cups feature rounded, pinched ribs, with the base forming a small pedestal. The handles are decorated with an acanthus leaf and a frieze of falling bases and pearls.
The saucers also feature pinched ribs, continuing the lines of the cups. The base is raised to form a small navel that highlights the cup. The rim is raised.
The overall effect is very harmonious, with a beautiful continuity between the cup and its saucer, evoking a flower. The softness of the shapes combined with the simplicity of the taut lines evokes a shared influence between the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
