In 1900, he became known for his drawings in newspapers such as Le Figaro illustré, L'illustration or La Vie parisienne. At the same time, he continued his activity on design and created numerous interior objects. Louis Chalon regularly exhibited at the Salon of the Society of French Artists. He participated in the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1900 and exhibited at the salon from 1898 to 1911 as a painter, book illustrator and sculptor.
