"Pair Of Naval Officer's Pistols, Tulle, 18th Century"
Large model of naval officer pistols called “chien de mer” from the Tulle Manufacture, signed “Gillet à Tulle” on the plates (left - right) and below the springs “Duché”. The intact wood of the stocks is magnificently chiseled with a long-maned “chien de mer” and stamped with a fleur-de-lis. Barrels signed DESAGA, gunner in Tulle. Nail-head ramrods. Iron fittings. Finely worked enveloping mouthpieces in arabesques with sights. Hooked counter-plates. Length of pistols: 30 cm. Length of barrels: 18 cm. Caliber 15 mm.
