Amphora most likely Roman, in red terracotta covered with marine concretions.
This amphora with an oval body of a large diameter has a pointed end.
It was used to transport wine.
It is presented on a three-legged wrought iron base from the 1950s. T
he old amphorae were composed of several parts, neck, handles, then assembled; we sometimes come across amphorae that have lost these parts, this is the case of ours found without a neck. In the same family since the 1950s.
