Very beautiful barbotine set consisting of six earthenware plates dating from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Its decoration of strawberries and leaves is in relief and they are never perfectly identical in tones. This comes from the fact that these plates were offered in department stores in the hope of customer loyalty and in varying numbers depending on the amount of the purchase, this explains why we very rarely find series in peoples homes who were offered two plates and the next time or in another store, a different model such as roses or grapes...
