Ceramic pitcher or carafe, signed Jacques Blin*, decorated with several stylized birds, from the 1950s 20th century. This pitcher is in good condition, superb quality. Signed on the base. Please note: slight soiling and wear from time, see photos. * Jacques Blin (1920-1995) is a French ceramist of the 20th century. His style is characterized by the presence of illustrations of birds, animals and scenes of daily life. Jacques Blin was born in France in 1920. He obtained a degree in aeronautical engineering but chose instead to make his passion a profession. In 1954, he opened his first ceramics workshop. That same year, he was found at the Salon des Céramistes et des Métiers d'Art and at the Maison de la Chimie. An artist very committed to the defense of his art, he became vice-president of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva. He was also President of the French Chamber of Ceramists and Art Workshops for twenty years.
