Large two-part bookcase with a glass case at the top and a sideboard at the bottom, opening with six doors on two levels and three drawers in the belt. Richly inlaid with ivory with Berain motifs representing garlands, masks, snakes, vases, etc. on a background of ebony and blackened pear wood. Very fine, Napoleon III period. Closes with original key. Several shelves inlaid with ivory fillet are adjustable at the top and bottom. Very good condition. Provenance: private mansion in Bordeaux.
