A 19th Century Painted Tin Herb Box

An oblong herborization box in painted sheet metal, decorated with popular scenes such as gardening children, children fishing, deer and stags disturbing a lunch. 19th century period. Used condition. Dimensions 32cm x 15cm thickness 9cm The herborization box was transported horizontally using a strap so that the collected plant specimens were kept flat, wrapped in a damp cloth.
