Antique Tibetan Bronze Statue Avalokiteshvara Chenrezig 18th-19th Century Buddha

Antique, finely sculpted solid bronze votive statuette depicting Avalokiteśvara (Chenrezig), the bodhisattva of compassion in Tibetan Buddhism. He is seated in a meditation posture (vajrāsana) on a base in the shape of a blossoming lotus, a symbol of purity and spiritual elevation. His right hand is performing the varada mudra (giving gesture) and holding a ritual vessel (kundika), a symbol of offering and purification. On his left hand is engraved a central circle (wheel or chakra). He is adorned with a necklace, a five-pointed crown, and incised motifs on the arms, scarf, and back (heart motif, stylized folds). Bronze with a natural brown patina with red cinnabar residue, traces of ancient wear. Dense sculpture, of fine quality, testifying to prolonged ritual use.
