Very old salt chair in the form of an armchair (which is rare) perhaps late 16th early 17th century in walnut for the turned pieces, oak seat top, white wood linings, backrest height 103 cm, width 56 cm, depth 50 cm, seat height 48 cm, furniture from the center of the south of France, traces of salt still inside, this piece of furniture was placed in a corner of an inglenook fireplace in order to keep the salt dry and within easy reach of the pot (Peyrol)
