"Diorama Altar For Catechism Folk Art Lozère 19th/20th Century"
Diorama Altar for Catechism Folk Art Lozère early 19th/20th century Object of popular tradition probably for educational purposes. At the top center, a space for the nativity scene decorated with a manger to put straw. At the bottom the altar for the mass in miniature. The object is decorated with columns, flowers, angels and naive and colorful paintings. In good used condition, it can possibly be closed with glass for decoration. The altar part has a door that opens on the front for easier access. The artist painted his initials but the object is not signed.
