Louis XIII Buffet With Diminutive In Walnut Complete With Its Very Decorative Pediment, 17th Century

Superb 17th century walnut two-part buffet with 4 doors, 4 drawers and paneled sides. Solid, thick walnut of superb quality. Complete buffet with its exceptional, highly decorated pediment. The bottom consists of a low plinth, 2 doors with geometric decoration and a large circular molding in the center called a "bottom of the bottle". Deep drawers in the belt. Sides paneled with 4 triangles and 1 diamond. The upper recessed body is on a plinth consisting of 2 drawers topped with another plinth and 2 doors with the same geometric decoration as those at the bottom. The sides are paneled with triangles and diamonds thicker than those at the bottom. The hinges are original, as are the locks and keys. Everything works. Some usual restorations. This piece of furniture is topped with a toothed cornice and has a superb pointed arch pediment decorated with small columns, tops and pilasters, very rare.
