Rosewood tray, Charles X style and 1900 period, with lemon tree marquetry decoration representing an Antique scene: two donkeys pulling a plow, surrounded by figures playing music. The whole is framed by a delicate frieze with bird and foliage motifs. The curved handles are decorated with chimeras, birds and foliage, highlighted by an elegant border. Purely decorative in appearance, this tray actually conceals a discreet and perfectly functional musical mechanism. A remarkable serving tray, with exceptional marquetry decoration due to the finesse of its execution.
