This extra-fine Chinese silver box was made in Canton by silversmith Chen Lian Ji, who practiced between 189 and 1920. The lid features a dragon entwined in swirls of clouds, while the refined side panels depict birds perched and flying among flowers and foliage. The base bears the maker's mark.
