Perseus The Victor By Picault (1833-1915)

The victor is represented in contraposto, helmeted and carrying his spear.
The features of the face are very expressive, he wears a pendant around the neck.
The sea monster is lying dead at his feet.
beautiful resumption of chiseling and beautiful old patina in the manner of an antique bronze.
He has retained his original spear.
He rests on an oval sea green marble base and bears a brass cartouche entitled the victor by Picault.
