Indo-portuguese Saint Barbara, Hand Carved Polychrome Wooden Statue, 16th Century
This "original" Saint Barbara is an excellent example of the "best" Saint Barbara wood carving from Portugal, during the 16th century. This wood sculpture has been beautifully designed with so much attention to detail that it appears realistic, and it is possible to appreciate every detail of the body. This Saint Barbara sculpture exudes high quality with a good patina from that time... it is absolutely gorgeous!
