"Louis XIII Console Writing Table In Fruit Wood, Late 17th Century"
Interesting Louis XIII fruitwood table or console table, late 17th century. It rests on 4 turned, ringed legs ending in sheres. These 4 legs are connected by a curved spacer with its top in the center. The belt has a large drawer with a wrought iron handle. The whole is covered with a beautiful top with a doucine on the side. It should be noted that this table has almost no overhang at the back or molding to be leaned against a wall. The drawer recesses and the rear panel around the frame are made of poplar because they are supposed not to be visible. Pretty doucine around the frame on the front and sides as well as on the front of the drawer. Table fully pegged. Some restorations due to use. Solid table in good condition. Length: 91.7 cm Width: 62 cm Height: 79.9 cm
