Object description :

"19th Century Marine Painting. "
Oil painting on canvas from the early 19th century depicting a three-masted sailing ship in a storm. Very interesting painting, unrestored and in its original condition, which has remained in very good condition. Painting treated in a very dynamic way with a proud three-masted ship fighting against the elements and heading towards the coast guided by a light on a cliff, perhaps shipwrecked. Note in the right part a hole of light in the sky laden with clouds. Painting from the early 19th century, Empire or Charles X where this type of subject was fashionable. Old original gilt wood frame. Very beautiful painting in its original condition, which is rare and interesting and which can be cleaned if desired. Nice size, 69.5 by 53 in the frame for a middle of wall space and which will give a very beautiful decorative effect. Possibility of sending in France and worldwide by secure and insured package with order tracking. Invoice and certificate provided.
