Baccarat – Cut Crystal Service Of 61 Pieces, Armagnac Model

Cut crystal glassware service, Armagnac pattern, by the house of BACCARAT.
Each piece features a flared bowl adorned with elongated diamond-cut facets, resting on a tripartite moulded stem and a polished circular foot. The service is completed by a matching water jug with a rounded body and identical decoration.

• 12 red wine glasses – Height: 13.5 cm – Ø 7.7 cm
• 12 white wine glasses – Height: 12 cm – Ø 6.7 cm
• 12 apéritif glasses – Height: 11 cm – Ø 6 cm
• 12 champagne coupes – Height: 10.5 cm – Ø approx. 9.5 cm
• 1 water jug – Height: 14 cm

Each piece is engraved Baccarat France beneath the base, a signature in use since 1936.

Produced by BACCARAT in the second half of the 20th century, the Armagnac model stands in continuity with the tradition of short-stemmed, richly cut services typical of the 19th century. The design of the stem evokes the moulded shapes of the Second Empire, while adopting a refined, modern line characteristic of BACCARAT's post-war creations. The diamond-cut pattern, executed with remarkable precision, perpetuates a decorative vocabulary that emerged in the 1840s within the Baccarat workshops.
