"Earthenware Dish Signed Horellau Ja3. – Abstract Decoration"
Glazed earthenware bowl with abstract decoration in brown, black, and ochre tones. The center is adorned with a complex circular motif, surrounded by repeated and stylized geometric sections. The rim is punctuated by a rhythmic line of circular motifs. This type of composition evokes the decorative research of the 1950s and 1960s, in the spirit of French modernist productions. The underside bears the signature Horellau JA3., from the Quimper workshops, known for having explored more contemporary avenues outside the traditional Breton style.
