Painted enamel on convex copper depicting the episode of Saint Louis and the Crown of Thorns.
This enamel can be attributed to Baptiste Nouaillier, an enameller active in Limoges between 1699 and 1775.
It constitutes the central element of a holy water stoup, now incomplete, which originally consisted of three parts.
