Pair of Directoire period armchairs in painted wood. Late 18th century. The front legs are baluster and the back legs are called "saber". The front connecting dice are carved with rosettes. The backrests are trapezoidal and slightly curved. The front crosspiece is slightly curved. The armrest consoles are baluster-shaped. The armrests have cuffs. They begin with a lanceolate leaf at the junction with the backrest and end with a rosette. The structure and upholstery are in very good condition. These armchairs have been reupholstered with a high-quality linen fabric by our upholsterer. They have retained their original lacquer. Dimensions: L 57.5 x D 50 x H 87 Seat height 42
