"Bernardeau 14-piece Queen Elisabeth Porcelain Tea Set"
The tea service was created in 1957 by Bernardeau in Limoges for the visit of HM Queen Elizabeth II to France. The off-white porcelain is hand-decorated with gold, birds of paradise with black highlights, exotic vegetation, and flowering stems. This service is almost a collector's item linked to the visit of the Queen of England to France in 1957. It is in very good condition, having hardly ever been used and was in a display case. Unfortunately, one cup was broken, its saucer remains. It consists of a teapot, a sugar bowl, a cream jug, eleven cups and their saucers, and a saucer. Each piece bears the stamp of the Bernardeau Manufacture and the words: "The service was executed for the reception of HM Queen Elizabeth on the occasion of her visit to France in April 1957."
