Bronze sculpture from the Grand Tour.
19th century. Naples, circa 1870.
Depicting "Narcissus", after the antique discovered in 1862 in Pompeii and preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Naples.
Finely chiseled, beautiful black patina.
Circular base with a frieze of heart-shaped rays.
Height 28 cm

These sculptures were produced as part of the "Grand Tour" collections, made in the 19th century by mainly Italian and French sculptors, for tourists visiting Europe.
