The furniture and interior decorations produced by Rohé in the 1950s are part of the artisanal heritage of Noordwolde, a small town in the northern province of Friesland, renowned since the 19th century in the rattan furniture and furniture accessories sector.
From the 1950s onwards, the Dutch firm diversified its production by offering a range combining various materials, including bamboo and leather, which, combined with rattan, create a unique style with extremely cosy and luxurious shapes.
