A very beautiful object of Orthodox devotion, in bronze decorated with enamels (two shades of dark blue, sky blue, green and yellow).
It represents in sixteen scenes the twelve Feasts [the Annunciation, the Nativity of Christ, the Nativity of Our Lady, her Presentation in the Temple, the Presentation of Christ, Baptism, the Transfiguration, Palm Sunday, the Resurrection, the Ascension, Pentecost and the Dormition] and the four icons of the Mother of God most venerated in Russia [Tishvin, Vladimir (Moscow), Smolensk and the Sign (Novgorod)].
The four bulbs depict the Crucifixion, the Glory of the Trinity, the Exaltation of the Cross, and the Glorification of Our Lady, while the lid of the box depicts the insignia of the Passion.
Each scene is captioned in Cyrillic.
