This mirror is adorned with an abundance of motifs characteristic of Venetian decorative arts from the late 17th century: ovolo moldings, gilded palmettes, wide and thin twisted spun glass, mirror strips in parcloses, beads and rosettes in gilded bronze, repoussé and gilded bronze acanthus leaves, gilded bronzes, and mercury glass mirrors. The frame is itself topped with a gilded bronze mascaron attachment.
