"Bronze Desk Inkwell, Gothic Sculpture, Devil, Goblin, Gargoyle"
A sculptural bronze inkwell, circa 1900, depicts a strange little creature perched on a shell-shaped pen holder. The small goblin at the top wears a devil mask on top of his head. Lifting this mask reveals the inkwell reservoir. His ears are hollow to accommodate two quills. The inkwell is in good condition, except for the missing insert and some slight wear to the original patina. A rare, original, and expressive object, it will make a striking accent on a classic desk or collection of antique writing objects.
